SICPA Mobile Scanner for Cigarette Distributors

The scanner is used by Licensed Cigarette Distributors (LCDs) to collect and upload hand stamping data to the State of California’s Board of Equalization. The unit is portable and operates from a rechargeable battery system. Data entry is easy with a touch screen menu that allows user interaction. The unit can be connected to the database with either a phone or data line. The scanner is designed to be used in conjunction with the Gecko Auto Applicator. LCDs use the equipment either for stamping or scanning non-standard cigarette packs or for low volume stamp application of 5x2 cartons. The scanner is mandatory equipment for any LCD hand applying California cigarette tax stamps.

Retail Validation Scanner

The Retail Validation Scanner by SICPA Product Security provides authentication of California tobacco tax stamps. The unit quickly tells users if a tax stamp is valid or counterfeit.
